Atlanta will become the new home of The Inspired Home Show

The Inspired Home Show will have a new home starting in 2028. The International Housewares Association (IHA) and ANDMORE have announced an eight-year partnership to bring the trade show to AmericasMart Atlanta, where it will be held simultaneously with the Winter Atlanta Market starting in January of that year.

The move represents a change in the trade show’s format, which will no longer be exclusively a temporary annual event held in Chicago, but will become part of a permanent marketplace model. The new operation will combine the traditional trade show floor with permanent showrooms throughout the AmericasMart complex, also expanding purchasing opportunities across different categories.

With more than 80 years of history, The Inspired Home Show brings together more than 10,000 retailers and industry professionals and more than 1,000 exhibitors every year. Considered one of the leading trade shows for the housewares industry, the Chicago edition will conclude in March 2027, before the event’s debut in Atlanta.

“This is the next chapter of our show, which has always been about connection, bringing the industry together to discover products, build partnerships and grow businesses. Atlanta gives us a platform to do that in a whole new way, creating together the largest sourcing marketplace in the industry. We are proud to build this next chapter with a partner who shares our commitment to the people who make this community so special,” says Derek Miller, President and CEO of the International Housewares Association.

Housewares integrated with other categories

In Atlanta, The Inspired Home Show will be held alongside the Winter Atlanta Market, AmericasMart’s leading trade show for gifts and home products. The integration will allow buyers to access housewares exhibitors and more than 6,000 gift and home brands in a single trip.

The structure will be spread throughout the AmericasMart campus, with the area dedicated to housewares and tabletop divided equally between showrooms and trade show space. The proposal is to position these categories close to other segments, making it easier for buyers to source products from different areas.

According to IHA and ANDMORE, the partnership will also increase the space dedicated to housewares and tabletop within AmericasMart tenfold.

“We are grateful for IHA’s trust in choosing ANDMORE and AmericasMart for the next chapter of The Inspired Home Show. This partnership significantly expands our housewares and tabletop offering, giving buyers even more reasons to source products across different categories in a single trip. And it demonstrates that the permanent, multisector marketplace model has lasting strength in our industry,” says Amory Wooden, Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer at ANDMORE.

The choice of timing is also related to the retail purchasing calendar. The Winter Atlanta Market is one of the first major sourcing opportunities of the year and brings together retailers who determine their assortments and purchasing strategies for the months ahead.

With the move, The Inspired Home Show’s national buyer base will become part of the expanded event, allowing housewares and tabletop categories to be included from the beginning of the annual purchasing planning process, rather than relying on a specific trip to a trade show held at another point in the calendar.

The move follows a model already adopted by ANDMORE in 2023, when ICFA moved the Casual Market to AmericasMart, a trade show with more than 60 years of history. According to the companies, the partnership has continued to grow since then.

The final edition of The Inspired Home Show in Chicago will take place from March 9 to 11, 2027. Its debut in Atlanta is scheduled for January 11 to 16, 2028, during the Winter Atlanta Market.
